Additional notes: We can see patients who need PEP and don't have insurance. They receive STI screening with each visit, however if a test for an STI is positive and the patient is uninsured--we'd have to refer out for treatment. During the course of their 28 days of PEP we talk to patient about possibility of rolling over to PrEP. If insured--we link to benefits counselor to discuss out of pocket costs. If uninsured, we link to benefits counselor to begin insurance enrollment process. We now offer full primary care for trans-identified clients, including hormone replacement therapy. All other clients can receive routine prevention sexual health services including Hep B and HPV immunizations.
